CD Suel & Amaro - Tribute

Rafael Teófilo Carvalho e Amaro Fabiano Gomes Lopes formavam essa dupla de sucesso do Funk Melody Nacional. A primeira música de Suel & Amaro foi “Perdi Você”, que logo se transformou num grande sucesso, tocado nas rádios e bailes do Rio. A segunda música da dupla foi “Pra Sempre Você”, que seguiu o mesmo caminho do anterior. Essas duas músicas entraram para coletânea Rap Brasil 3, lançada pela Som Livre em 1995.

No ano seguinte veio o maior sucesso da dupla Suel & Amaro com a música “Pequena Garota”, que logo estourou pelo Brasil e os shows não pararam mais, e claro, apresentações em programas de TV também. Apartir desse sucesso foi lançado em 1997, o primeiro álbum de Suel & Amaro pela Afegan Records, que além dos primeiros hits em nova roupagem, destacam também as músicas “Um Dia Desses”, “Você Me Deixou”, “Menina Veneno”, “Em Mim Dói” e “Pare Com Isso”. Em 2000, a dupla voltou com “Sintonia de Amor” & “Alegria no Ar”.

Em 2002, uma tragédia veio abalar a dupla, com a morte de Suel. O cantor foi assassinado em frente a sua casa em Magalhães Bastos com 6 tiros, quanto estava brincando com seu sobrinho Brian, filho de sua irmã Rafaela. A suspeita é de que o cantor tenha sido assassinado a mando de um homem com quem brigou em um bar, uma semana antes, para defender um amigo. Suel, com 25 anos, foi enterrado, em 29 de setembro de 2002 de manhã, no Cemitério do Caju; numa singela homenagem de todos que lá estavam, cantaram "Perdi Você", como último Adeus a essa lenda do Funk Music. Amaro seguiu em carreira solo por um tempo, mas atualmente aderiu a música Gospel.
